Drink moderately….The Senate Ways and Means Committee chaired by Senator Pia Cayetano has just approved a measure increasing taxes on alcohol and cigarettes. If passed by Congress, the new set of taxes for alcohol and cigarette products will yield P40 billion to P50 billion in revenues.
The so-called Sin Tax Bill seeks to curb vices and addiction and raise revenues for the Universal Health Care law. Check out the proposed prices of alcoholic drinks.
