Watching a movie while in the comfort of your vehicle? BLVCK 8 PARK – an upcoming new outdoor entertainment spot located in Uptown Cagayan de Oro City will soon be featuring the first drive-in theater in the city. It has become a popular trend during the pandemic due to restrictions in indoor activities.
BLVCK 8 PARK will be located at the vacant lot between the upcoming SMDC Vail Residences and the City Hall of Justice and right across Primavera City. It will have a capacity of 100 cars. Marshalls will be onsite to guide cars where to park so that small cars and sedans will not be blocked by larger vehicles like pick-up trucks and SUVs.
Drive-in theaters allow guests to bring all kinds of food and drinks while watching movies. But of course, there will be no Dolby sound surround this time. But the good thing is that you can watch it with your family and friends without leaving your car.
Some cars could be converted into a mobile comfort bed.
The back of a pick-up truck is just perfect for outdoor movie watching.
Or maybe a convertible…
How about the car’s roof?
A movie date night perhaps?
Meanwhile, structures are already installed onsite as shown below.
But the place is not just a drive-in theater since movies can only be shown at night. It will also have a luxurious outdoor bar and 40 food stalls. The place is also being planned to host outdoor parties, rap battles, pet shows, car and motor shows, dance competitions, spoken poetry, live acoustics, battle of the bands, rave and foam parties, among others.
